lake powell

lake powell this year was amazing as always.

we found the perfect spot on a smooth sand beach. 

as soon as we set up camp and had gotten the houseboat in order,

a big storm hit. it was beautiful. it wasnt your ordinary crazy winds capsizing waves

and all of that, it was a pouring rain lightning storm with no wind. 

christian and i layed out all night cuddling and watching the lightning over all the rock  formations.

i'm usually pretty good at having my camera with me, and taking

a lot of pictures.. this year not as much. cindy had her camera and

i was just having too much fun to remember to take a lot..

so here are just a few of mine.

i wakeboarded less than i usually do this year because

the night we left for our trip i sliced my finger wide open.

probably should have gotten stitches. but i super-glued it and found myself playing dr.

but it didnt stop me as much as it should have.

where we  ate ice cream and i bought my new hat.

we took a day trip out to rainbow bridge.

was a long day. but we made it, luckily. didnt help

that christian got an ear infection this day. he didnt feel so good.

but i'm glad i've gotten to see it :)

we went and had lunch at dangling rope marina and i hated all the wasps

and weird blue bees circling us. i was not a fan. but we did have a good little picnic

and was good to get out of the sun.

on our way back we spotted some desert long horns.

i miss it already.
